To be able to join the simulation day, you had to work hard during the diploma, and only the students with the best graduation projects were selected to join this day.
Students were grouped from all divisions (Architecture-Structure-HVAC-Electrical-Mechanical) to create 2 groups to compete in the simulation day.
The day was 10 hours long, the students were shown the project they will work on and their scope of work for each division 2 days earlier than the simulation day, and they started the day were each had a squad check to lead by the project manager(an architect from the group) and their 10 hours were divided into stages were at each stage they should coordinate a small meeting to recap the work done. Then the engineers worked collaboratively to create detailed design drawings for their project that is coordinated and free of clashes. At the end, the engineers finalized their drawings on sheets and the presentation of the drawings was revised.
The main objective of this day was to place the freshly graduated engineers in the office environment, and work-related stress and procedures, and it’s safe to say that the target was met 100%.
